Rombauer Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
Vibrant purple-black hue with expressive aromas of fresh cherry pie, blackberry, currant and hints of spice. The wine is medium- to full-bodied with a bright, fresh palate brimming with black cherry, fresh baked pie crust, sweet vanilla and currant. Supple tannins carry through to a lingering finish with layers of delicious fruit. Food Pairings: Our favorite Joy of Cooking pairings for this wine include Grilled Steaks (Pgs. 471-472) topped with Mushroom Ragout (Pgs. 283-284) or Osso Buco (Pg. 489) with Risotto Milanese (Pgs. 360- 361).
Wine SpectatorAn elegant, graceful style that's easy to enjoy, from the initial creamy oak aromas to the gradual firming midpalate, showing off a cedary oak grip to the tannins. Drink now through 2024. 15,000 cases made.
