Dumas Station Merlot 2012

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

This Merlot is packed with ripe Bing cherries, blackberries, and currants. Nuances of dusty spices from a baking rack and hints of leather from an old baseball glove all add complexity to this luscious and full-bodied wine. Firm tannins balance with fruit to create what Jay & Doug love to call our "Cab-lover's Merlot."

Wine EnthusiastRarely does a Merlot in this price range display this much power and concentration. Sourced from several vineyards, it's ripe right to the border of raisin flavors, with generous dollops of maple syrup and brown sugar adding further complexity. Still fruit-driven, yet with plenty of barrel flavor, this massive Merlot can take your richest, tangiest barbecue sauce.

Wine SpectatorRipe and generous, with expressive black cherry and roasted red pepper flavors, coming together on the exuberant finish. Has intensity and depth. Best from 2016 through 2020. 250 cases made.
